Haileybury AC has ceased its affiliation with Athletics Victoria and this has hit APS United hard, with the loss of several key athletes going to competing clubs. So it was pleasing to see four new faces at Wandin Park, all recruited from the Melbourne Midday Milers training group. Two of these, Janice de Vries and Cheryl Martin, helped the women’s team to second place in its grade.
