For only the second time in APSOC history, the handicapper has won a handicap event. Field Rickards (OW), who runs the course before anyone arrives, then supervises the finish line for everyone else, was found to have the fastest net time and was therefore the handicap winner! This was possibly a bit tough on Sandy Welsh (OG), who crossed the line first, but no one begrudged Field his deserved victory. Meanwhile, Caulfield Grammarians took the team handicap prize.
