Our first event for our 91st year is the Jamieson 5k at Scotch College on 9 April. After no season in 2020 and half a season in 2021, we are optimistic for a full 2022 season and bigger fields, including the return of Old Geelong Grammarians after a number of years.
Covid is still widespread in the community so we ask you to do your part by not attending if you have any symptoms or are a close contact. Our afternoon teas are back, but in the interests of a Covid safe environment, we ask that you bring your own drinks and refreshments and observe social distancing rather than crowding together.
We remind you that you must register online for the season by the Thursday prior to your first event – you do not need to register again for each subsequent event. Athletes must bring their wrist band for electronic timing to each event except the relays. Athletes who did not collect their band last year or who are new to APSOC will find their bands ready for collection at their first event. Athletes who have forgotten or lost their band will need to pay $10 for a replacement – we have a new credit card facility to collect these payments.
Please note that Scotch College requires any person attending the Jamieson to be vaccinated, so please allow time prior to the race at 2.30 pm to check in and produce your proof of vaccination.
